The story of how I quit my job and went to play in Madrid

On Sunday we visited the famous Rastro market. It’s actually like a huge swap meet spread out over an entire neighborhood. It was by far my favorite thing so far in Madrid. We bought some jewelry and a jacket. My favorite thing was all the random junk that was for sale. I hope to go back soon!

Afterwards, the whole city goes to the bars and cafes for tapas. Margaux and I went and ate all kinds of delicious stuff at 5 or 6 different places. We had salmon on toast, mini sausages with ketchup!, duck confit crostinis, pate crostinis, Spanish tortilla, tomato salad, and of course, some jamon.  Margaux also discovered vino de verano, I think it’s called, which is like sangria made with a little vermouth, red wine, fruta, and some seltzer.

By the time we got back to our little apartment in Pozuelo, we were exhausted! I told Margaux I want that to be our new Sunday Funday routine. I love Sunday Funday.
